Cynara: A genus of about 15 species of plants similar to thistles (including artichokes). It contains cynarin, a substance with well-known choleretic effects. It also has a cholesterol-lowering effect, reduces the ratio of beta to alpha lipoproteins and has a diuretic effect. Plants of the Cynara genus also contain sterols that limit the absorption of cholesterol in the intestine. It has a hypoglycemic effect, and is antianemic due to its iron content. Sorbitol: Found naturally in the fruits of plants of the Rosaceae family (pears, apples, peaches and cherries), the Plantaginaceae family and red algae. It has appetite-stimulating properties. Boldo: Peumus boldus. It is rich in boldines. It effectively stimulates digestive functions and is used in cases of dyspepsia, gastritis, ulcers. Dosages: for dogs – 1 tablet per 10 kg of body weight – every 24 hours.
