Description

CALMEX® is a flavored tablet with unique nutrients that reduce the signs of acute and chronic stress experienced by dogs. Dogs cannot tell us when they are anxious and often hide their anxiety, but we can predict how they are feeling by certain behavioral changes. What causes stress in dogs? Separation from the owner or animals, noise, visits to the veterinarian or groomer, travel, transportation, various procedures in the postoperative period, bandages and collars.

CALMEX® properties:

Lecithin (source of phosphatidylserine) is the main constituent of the brain phospholipid, which plays an important role in the production and secretion of neurotransmitters, thereby stimulating the activity of nerve cells. Phosphatidylserine has been shown to normalize the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis response to stress.

Rhodiola rosea is an adaptogen plant that helps the body adapt to environmental changes and has a protective effect against stress. Rhodiola rosea (R. rosea) works in two ways: it regulates cortisol release and regulates neurotransmitter levels, inhibiting monoamine oxidase A.

L-tryptophan is an amino acid precursor to serotonin. Regulating serotonin levels can improve the condition in cases of anxiety or stress, which have a significant impact on many physiological functions. Supplementation in dogs has been shown to reduce signs of anxiety.

Passionflower – Passiflora incarnata – is a plant with sedative properties due to its effect on GABA receptors. GABA acts as a major inhibitory neurotransmitter and can thus help manage anxiety.

B vitamins (B1, B3, B6) – they are involved in the synthesis of key neurotransmitters and can reduce cortisol levels in response to stress.
