Description

COATEX® contains essential omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, as well as vitamins A, D and E. Omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids (EFAs) are oils naturally found in certain plants or fish that have nourishing and protective properties for the skin barrier. Just a few drops of these oils or one softgel taken daily can help prevent skin dryness, strengthen the skin’s immune system and reduce skin inflammation. It is safe and easy to use for long-term use to prevent skin problems.
The skin is the body’s protective barrier against the external environment. It must be sensitive enough to detect environmental changes, but at the same time strong enough to protect the underlying organs and tissues from damage.
Topical and oral skin preparations must work in harmony to ensure the proper metabolism and function of all three layers of the skin (epidermis, dermis and hypodermis) and to protect the entire body.

Animals can’t tell us when they are in pain or discomfort, so as pet owners, we try to understand their behavior. If your pet is showing any of the following signs, it could be a sign that they have a skin problem:

  • Increased licking, scratching, or itching;
  • Scabs, red spots, or pimples on the skin;
  • Increased flaking of the skin;
  • Increased hair loss or other unusual changes to the coat;
  • Bad skin odor;
  • Oily skin and/or coat;
  • Red or thickened areas of skin.

Skin problems are quite common, can affect animals of all ages, and can often be difficult to recognize, but with proper care, cats and dogs can live happily despite their skin problems. So if you are concerned about the condition of your pet’s skin or coat, consult your veterinarian.

The skin is the largest and most complex organ in the body. Consists of three layers of skin cells that act as a protective barrier for the skin. If any of these layers are damaged, the skin's protective functions are weakened, resulting in skin problems:

  • Skin allergies. Just like humans, your pet can be allergic to pollen, food or other environmental factors that cause itchy skin;
  • Skin parasites. Fleas, mites and lice can irritate the skin by feeding on the surface of the skin;
  • Skin infections. Skin infected with bacteria, fungi and yeast can cause pain and irritation;
  • Hormonal fluctuations. Hormonal fluctuations in pets, especially dogs, can lead to the development of various skin problems.
